Legislation now requires that the owners of all commercial businesses including Care Homes & Hotels now require an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) to be available as soon as the property is placed on the market for sale. This legislation came into force on 4th January 2009 and it applies to all freehold and leasehold sales.

An EPC will be required by your bankers and solicitors should you enter into any of the following - Significantly change the Operation of your Business, extend your premises, change or add to the heating system, re-finance your business or to sell or lease your premises.
Please call Capital Care & Hotels for further details, but in summary and in order to provide you with a quotation, we will be looking to receive the following information - the total combined floor area of the building including all trading and private accommodation, whether occupied or un-occupied, the type of heating system and how many boilers or heating units are in place, an approximate age of the property plus any additional extensions.
